In less than a month, I’ve had just over 5000 visitors to my blog, which is great, but I have followed the break-down of posts i.e. which ones are being visited the most. I believe that my underwear post and underwear poll have had the biggest number of visits. This got me thinking, why? Well, one word springs to mind: fetishes.
Men’s Underwear Advice
Oxford University definies fetishes as • noun 1 an inanimate object worshipped for its supposed magical powers. 2 a form of sexual desire in which gratification is focused abnormally on an object, part of the body, or activity. 3 a course of action to which one has an excessive and irrational commitment.
The truth is, we pretty much all have fetishes in one form or another, something that helps you to become more sexually aroused. Maybe it’s someone with a certain body type, big breasts, big penis, or big rear end. Maybe seeing someone’s feet turns you on. A Korean man stole 1700 shoes over a period of many years, it was enough to fill a warehouse. Most fetishes are harmless within the confines of one’s bedroom, but they can become more and more dangerous if allowed to get out of control. It’s rumored that a singer from a very successful musical group killed himself because of erotic auto-asphyxiation. What is this? It’s an attempt to achieve climax while being strangled. Then, of course there are much more violent acts which are considered fetishes, but are actually violent acts committed against others, I will not get into any of these for many reasons.
Fetishes like shoe fetishes and underwear fetishes are perfectly normal, they are used to simply spice up your love life. Don’t be surprised if your significant other sits up and takes notice if you walk into the bedroom wearing some special lingerie or a new pair of sexy underwear. Or ladies, how about walking into your bedroom with nothing on but a pair of tall stiletto heels or a pair of thigh high boots, the other fetish that goes very well with these is confidence. There is nothing that turns anyone on more than seeing someone with a great deal of confidence. Even if you don’t have the best body in the world, if you’re confident or at least pretend to be, your partner will definitely see a difference and this confidence will turn anyone on. A side note on underwear and foot fetishes,or any fetish for that matter, if these fetishes make you want to achieve arousal to the point where you have to break the law~seek help.
Voyeurism and exhibitionism can be very sexually satisfying, but these can easily cross the line and put you in dangerous situations. I am sure that a large number of arrests every day, aside from vehicle infringements, has to do with either voyeurism or exhibitionism. Voyeurism is the act of watching someone for sexual pleasure. I know of one person who was arrested for masturbating while watching someone else masturbate. Exhibitionism is the act of achieving sexual pleasure from being seen, often by exposing oneself in some way. There’s a famous story of a couple in Toronto’s Sky dome that had sex in front of a window of one of the hotel rooms, to be seen by thousands of people. Was this an accident or an opportunity to be seen by all of those people?
Then, of course, there are some other fetishes which include S & M which is definied by Wikipedia as: Sadism is pleasure in the infliction of pain or humiliation upon another person, while masochism is pleasure in receiving the pain. These include, whips, chains, and all sorts of other devices use to inflict pain on a person. There are usually code words that indicate when the participant has had too much. Although I’m sure it is painful at times, I believe there is a great deal of respect between the ‘master’ and the ‘slave’.
I can’t finish my post without mentioning some fetishes that are considered disgusting by most but, some take a great deal of pleasure in them. A golden shower is feeling pleasure from urinating on someone or being urinated on. There is also the use of human feces, by defecating on someone or being defecated on. I would rather not go into any more details on this topic.
I believe most fetishes are harmless and I say do what you need to do to make yourself happy and spice up your relationship, providing children, breaking the law and violence is not involved. Make sure that both parties are consenting and if you feel uncomfortable about doing something, don’t do it, if the person doesn’t understand then the relationship may need more work than you may think. Sex should make both parties happy, if it doesn’t, seek therapy and work at becoming happy. Take care and happy sexing!
